Lecture: 54 hours 43 Personal Financial Planning 3 Units This course prepares students to understand and apply the fundamentals of personal finance management. Students will be able to assess their personal financial literacy, establish financial goals and develop a strategy to achieve desired personal finance goals. Topics covered include: budgeting; banking and financial transactions; consumer credit principles including maintaining credit, and current regulations and practices that govern consumer financial transactions; including housing financing; personal insurance basics; investment basics and their application to retirement planning.
